Minnis Memories - The Car Park

An interesting shot of Minnis Bay in the late 1940s I think. It's changed a little since then as you can tell from the view along the road to the hotel in the background.

And no sign of parking meters or
parking "attendants", how refreshing !

Have a closer look at the gent in the boater with the arm-band, Hog's view! Looks suspiciously like the eagle eyed parking attendants that not only had gainful employment but also ensured your car was not broken into, vandalised or stolen. Machines don't do this but who cares about the visitors; a machine is cheaper for TDC.
