It's Good to Shout

Beware the cold/flu virus doing the rounds at present, it seems to be hitting everyone hard, including me and I've just appeared, temporarily to pick-up my email. I went to the local surgery yesterday and it was full of people with the same. I can't remember the last time I gave-up and went to bed ill with anything.

On a local basis, some of my critics almost got lucky, with an email here from an old friend at Deloitte's, asking if I would like to go to Croatia for a year, from May, to formulate "Strategy and Capacity Building for Providing User-oriented Services in the Area of e-Government." I don't think so, after all, I would have to start writing "Croatian Life" instead and there's always Thanet to help with first if I'm elected and asked.

I see that Thanet will be among the first authorities to implement the new "shouting" CCTV cameras. Won't that be fun. Can you imagine walking along Margate seafront and suddenly hearing a public address system broadcasting: "Oi you, spotty kid with the skateboard, this isn't a play area." or "Stop bashing that old lady."

Britain already has an estimated 4.2 million CCTV cameras in operation but will Thanet be safer as a result? One of our readers tells me that the CCTV camera in Westgate have been removed. Something for me to investigate if it's correct.

Back to bed I think, I'm delirious!

Not the virus that caused me to wake up at 6:00 am this morning (I booked a days leave too) with a splitting pain above my right eye and runny nose :\
Though that might be the one that downed me several weeks a go and has continued to linger and overlap this one. I hate the first few months of the year.

Sorry to hear about your indisposition but even sorrier to hear that a Tory controlled council is prepared to move us the next stage into Reid's world of 'Big Brother'. What are your prospective brothers in arms thinking about. I am about to vote for an Independent if one stands!
