Quick Flash

Flash Earth has updated its satellite imagery, using Microsoft VE and the result is that you can just about zoom down to the bird-bath in my garden from space - no kidding!

You can find a link on the sidebar but here it is, enjoy the view!

Not sure how recent the images are as Westwood looks quite under-developed with no Thanet Campus, Westwood X or Perrys.

Mind you, that would probably explain the fact that the traffic seems to be moving quite freely on the images.

Birdbath opposite concrete ornamemtal vulture in garden.

I suppose as I know where it is, I can spot the discolouration that marks the spot.

Now.. the next prize goe sto the first person to give the coordinates for the nudist beaches in the area!

There's one on the Isle of Sheppey for starters!

Two Chimneys is not shown in expanded state (bund was raised in 2002 summer) so the shots must be late summer of 2001 or earlier.

Have you had a look at Microsoft's Local Live (http://local.live.com/)? Click on bird's eye view. You can spend happy hours looking around the area in very close detail and it seems quite up-to-date.
