Wanted: For Crimes Against Common Sense

You may be amused or perhaps shocked to read in the papers today, that the same Chief Constable know for ruthless crackdown on speeding drivers - including a 62-year-old who was jailed after being caught doing 38mph in a 30mph zone - has refused to release photographs of two escaped murderers, Jason Croft and Michael Nixon, on the basis that to do so would violate their human rights.

Proof positive if you didn't know it already, that the lunatics are now firmly in control of the asylum!

What is more worrying is the way that dangerous criminals are graded as being suitable to be placed in open prisons and then abscond; the 750 lags who legged it from open prisons last year is apparently an improvement on the average of 1000+ per year over the past ten years!

This Govt avoids building more prisons that are clearly needed whilst solving the overcrowding problem by letting the prisoners walk out of their prison!

For Christmas I was given David Copperfields Wasting Police Time, the book version of Coppersblog. I commend it to you all, and its tenets and discussions would probably explain clearly to you all how we have reached such a position of nonsense.

One of the best books I have read in a long time is "Strictly No - How we're being overrun by the Nanny State".

It contains loads of stories like this one. I would recommend it.
