Stories from the Edge of the North Kent Coast by Simon Moores.
anon again!I thought all swords & knives had to be handed in to the Police a few months back.. (cynic)
Doesn't include carving knives over thrre feet long or fruit knives!
Perhaps its a trusty sword of truth!
He wouldn't get that long to think in a real fight, and he'd be constantly tripping over his baggy trousers. Hiiii Yaaa ! Take that sword man!
There's no thinkling involved. After years of practise in any martial art, it's all a non -thinking "sub cortical" process, regardless of whether the hand or the sword is involved. I was quite amused watching one programme on Discovery, where the all Japan Kendo champion was sparring with an 85 year old Kendo master, who consistently struck the former on the head in what looked like slow motion.
If he is a champion I expect he knows better than to show up a master, even an elderly one! The dedication of those guys is unbelievable.
