Law is Toothless - Official

I thought I would share this little gem of political correctness from the Daily Mail with you today:

"Police dogs are being muzzled to stop them biting and injuring suspected criminals.

Rather than biting suspects, the dogs have instead been trained to disable their targets by leaping at them and delivering a flying 'head-butt'."

Ed: Alsations are now very much out of favour and enter the new breed of toothless police dog on the left, trained to launch itself at fleeing criminals in an effort to trip them-up."

The issue is why does a criminal have the right to sue the Police for harm caused by a Police Dog's bite? If a suspect is innocent then sue away. If not, they have only themselves to blame. Get over it.

The problem has also been the number of policemen bitten by their own dogs! It used to be regarded as a hazard of the job but compensation bills in our litigatious 'little britain' is cited as one of the reasons. Dogs that pursue and bite and hold until handler arrives are much faster for catching scroats who abandon car after 'joy riding'than flat footed plods in body armour and overloaded belts. In countless TV extracts I have never seen one employed.
I suppose toothless dogs are just another component of our toothless police, legal and so called justice system!

What an absolute joke. If someone is a villain surely they expect and deserve a little rough handling on their way to justice.
The other thing is that a vicious dog looking to bite someone serves as a deterrant and thus can bring situations to a close often without the need for drama. It is a very sad world that we live in - and it is just getting worse.
