Stories from the Edge of the North Kent Coast by Simon Moores.
One question comes to mind with him...How on earth did he get elected? Not only once, but twice! Thank God for the US Constitution which stops him from a third term.Im sure some ask the same question of some people on our side of the pond...
Its called democracy James"Democracy is the worst form of government except for all those others that have been tried." -- Winston Churchill Steve Kilbee
I must be missing somthing here, why does "strategy" have extra letters in the piccy?
Yes--- You’re missimg somethingSteve Kilbee
As in he is allegedly challenged by simply spelling "strategy" and also the way he pronounces it in speeches in the same way that some people say ""Nuculer" insteas of "Nuclear"
Mr President appears to be waiting for the imminent arrival of ETSteve Kilbee
Steve Kilbee writes .."Its called democracy James"Demoocracy is an interesting concept to George Bush. On one hand he seems hell-bent in introducing "democracy" to the world in some sort of zealous crusade so the "ordinary people" have a say in who runs the country. On the other hand, where "true democracy" results in someone being elected who he doesn't like (eg Hamas and the ongoing Iran saga) he doesn't like it one bit.The moral of the story - democracy is good as long as it results in pals of the USA being elected.
So with reagrd to the last line of the last post - George W must be pleased we have democracy here, with his little poodle Blair being democratically elected!
Absolutely right. If the Conservatives ever got into power then we should expect the cold shoulder or invasion by the USA to restore their kind of democracy.
Didn't the Tory opposition support Blair's support of Bush? A change in our Government would still be their kind of democracy!
They supported the war on the basis of the original reason given, that there were WMDs in Iraq. As we know now, not a single WMD has been found in Iraq.
